DG&A’s primary 2007 client in the public sector was the City of Chicago. For the City of Chicago, DG&A was selected to work with the Mayor’s appointed Police Board to assist in the identification of Chicago’s next Superintendent of Police. Throughout the search DG&A was engaged with the police board up until the final selection. This opportunity added value to our existing networks in law enforcement as well as broadened our track record with placing leaders in the Government Sector. We engaged with potential candidates from major city and state police departments, military personnel, and also federal agencies such as the FBI, DEA, FEMA, and the Secret Service. We broke down major city’s police departments and added value to our existing intellectual capital in the public sector talent arena.
 
As a result of DG&A’s work with the City of Chicago Superintendent of Police search, we were awarded an assignment to help with the City of Chicago’s reorganization of their Department of Human Resources. With the oversight of federal monitors, we helped the City of Chicago fill 42 roles within 90 days. This assignment included filling titles such as Directors of Recruitment, Testing Managers, Recruiting Managers, Compensation and Classification analysts, and other functional roles that execute on critical human resources responsibilities. We were able to identify and recruit corporate HR professionals and market the advantages of working for local government.
 
Due to our success with the work we performed for the City of Chicago, we were awarded a five year Master Contract Agreement with the City of Chicago in February 2008. In preparation for task orders associated with the Master Contract Agreement, we have started preliminary research on identifying national leaders in the public space who could fill roles essential for governing large cities such as New Orleans and Chicago. Our research has transcended success in the recruitment of Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport’s Vice President of Human Resources and Chicago Park District’s Chief Programming & Recreation Officer. For Cook County, the secondary populated county in the United States, we have concluded a number of Senior Level searches.
