Jose Sanchez Named to State Health Improvement Council

The President and CEO of Norwegian American Hospital, Jose Sanchez, has recently been named by Governor Pat Quinn to the State Health Improvement Plan (SHIP) Implementation Coordination Council. Mr. Sanchez will join 24 other appointees to work collaboratively with the Governor’s Health Care Reform Implementation Council to promote statewide improvements in public health. David Gomez and Associates recently partnered with Norwegian American Hospital in executing an executive search to find Tony Evers as the hospital’s Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Sanchez's appointment is a testament to Norwegian American Hospital's commitment to improving patient access to quality healthcare in the community that it serves. DG&A will continue to offer its support to Mr. Sanchez's ongoing efforts to reform and improve the State's Healthcare System. 

Jose Sanchez, President & Chief Executive Officer of Norwegian American Hospital, received a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the City College of New York and a Master’s degree in social work from Adelphi University. He is a licensed master social worker and clinical social worker. Sanchez has worked in the areas of mental and general health for 30 years, and previously chaired the IT Committee in New York City to implement electronic medical records for one-third of the public health care system.
