DG&A Client Spotlight: New Futuro

David Gomez and Associates was retained once again by New Futuro, an organization aiming to improve education for Latinos by helping students get into college and complementing the work of local and national Latino organizations by leveraging the skills and resources of the business community.

In October 2011, DG&A was brought on by New Futuro Co-Founder & CEO Peter Wilkins to find a Business Development Director and filled the position within 30 days with Jennifer Woods who was previously the Director of Property Marketing at UrbanStreet Properties.  Jennifer spearheaded and championed integrated marketing programs for commerial office building portfolios in the Chicago Metro Market.  Up to that point, Woods was the Executive Vice President at the San Jose Group, a top marketing communications agency specializing in Hispanic and multicultural markets in the U.S. and Latin America.

Jennifer received her Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Spanish at the University of Wisconsin. Jennifer’s strong educational background combined with her ability to remain people focused, purpose and values driven, and performance and results oriented allow her to deliver social and economic value, foster a high-performance culture, and think big while acting strategically.

DG&A is currently performing an executive search for another New Futuro Business Development Director to help them lead a comprehensive, socially innovative program that will generate significant public awareness around Latino education. The Business Development Director will enhance the probability of the Latino youth’s success by connecting New Futuro’s members with local non-profits and educational institutions via their online community and neighborhood outreach efforts.
